Learning about the international early childhood field has given
me new insight on how life really is in different countries. I have read
several reliable articles about how children are affected in different
countries, whether it is children suffering from poverty, climate issues, or
education, there are many organizations out there that are fighting to combat
the issues that are still affecting many children today.
In addition to new insight I have gained, my
international contacts have given me a vision how the educational field is in
Greece and in England; the educational field is not much different than here in
America, with either more or less amenities given to families and children
during the pre-k stage. With the knowledge I have gained, I will be able to stand
up for equality in the educational field across all cultures and understand
that circumstances are different in certain regions around the world.
One goal I have for the
international awareness is to combat the issue of high quality education. It is
unfortunate how children all over the world including the United States are
still affected by a mediocre educational experience. Whether it be the lack of
school funding or qualified teachers, it is important that all children receive
a high-quality education in order to successfully impact the world and our
community.
